Coming this September is a new designer showcase, First Pick.  Organized by Janna Hurtzig of Winterluxe fame, this show is one you will not want to miss!  The show will be happening September 16+17 at the Heritage Hall in Vancouver.  This carefully curated show will showcase some really talented designer/makers from Vancouver.   Each week from now until showtime, Creator's Vancouver will be profiling designer's you can find at the show through their Q&A series.  You can find our here. 

Sans Soucie Italy, Australia Eco Fashion Tour 2017

Sans Soucie Textile + Design has been invited to showcase at Green Fashion Week (Rome, Italy) in October, 2017 and at Eco Fashion Week ( Perth, Australia) in November, 2017. We recently completed a residency at HCMA Architecture + Design in Vancouver where we explored various circular knitting techniques using hand craft looms and knitting machines with hosiery yarn we have been developing in the studio over the last couple of years.  This opportunity not only allowed for us to continue our material research and development with this resource it completely transformed our idea of what can be done in the future.  We...

Methodorphosis photoshoot + performance + exhibit

In preparation for Methodorphosis, an interdisciplinary showcase of textiles, performance and painting at the Visual Space Gallery (Vancouver), we recently spent the afternoon photographing contemporary dance artist Salome Nieto at Deer Lake Park ( Shadboldt Centre for the Arts, Burnaby, BC) with Dan Kearley of Emotional Response Photography. We sat in awe of Salome's fearless performance as she danced barefoot onto the cold, wet floor of the rainforest.
